Nashville Adult Literacy Council

The fund started with a generous gift from Betty and Carl Pforzheimer, longtime friends and supporters of Literacy NY, and grows each year with donations from others who believe in the power of adult literacy.

Janice’s passion was to support volunteers engaged in adult education and tutoring with high-quality training and the support they need to be effective. So, Literacy NY is utilizing the Janice Cuddahee Fund to underwrite the costs of online tutor training workshops for deserving adult literacy programs. And, we are making a difference!

Adult Literacy League Winter Park, FL

Seeing the need for adult education to achieve literacy in the community, the Adult Literacy League began in 1968. Since then they have grown to provide Adult Basic Education and English for Speakers of Other Languages classes, GED preparation and one-on-one volunteer tutoring to over 2,500 students a year.

Won’t you join us in equipping tutors to teach adult learners in communities across the country?
